While I typically prefer to keep this blog Rexburg Real Estate focused, Rexburg, Idaho’s newest restaurant is too good to ignore! Just to give you an idea of how PHENOMENAL the food is, Masala opened only 13 days ago and I have already eaten there 4 times. While I am no culinary expert or food reviewer, I hope I can do this fine establishment justice in describing how perfect my eating experiences there have been thus far.

On our first visit, I tried the Chicken Tikka Masala while my wife had the Chicken Patia, by recommendation of our waitress. The chicken tikka masala was nothing short of stunning. Deeply flavorful and richly aromatic, it was a full sensory experience. I truthfully didn’t know that chicken could be THAT TENDER. It is the best tasting Indian food I have ever eaten. In recent visits I have become a huge fan of the Goan Style Curry which is a southern Indian style coconut curry. Spicy yet with a hint of sweet from the coconut, it is the perfect balance for what I enjoy. Speaking of spicy, every dish can be ordered on a spiciness scale from 1 to 5 allowing each delicious dish to be tailored directly to what you enjoy! For me this meant a 4 and for my wife a 2. Along with our meal we ordered multiple sides of garlic naan bread and then some more after realizing we had blown through our first two orders in minutes with how good it was!

In talking of ordering, I would be remised if I didn’t touch on the fast, timely service we have experienced thus far. The staff was attentive to our needs, checked on us regularly, and were polite and friendly. Not just the staff, but the owners are very kind, polite, and personable! On two of our trips, one or both of the owners came to introduce themselves and greet us. It became very apparent that they were deeply passionate about delivering a great dining experience with even better food. In talking, I discovered that they co owned a restaurant in Virginia, the state of my birth, for 11 years before moving here. I guess I should not be surprised as the quality of the food certainly indicates that they are seasoned veterans of the restaurant business.

One other thing to note, Masala is not just a must visit for dinner time but for lunch as well. The amount of food you get from any item on the lunch menu is astounding. It is the best value in Rexburg for lunch. For just $12 I was able to get an entree, naan bread, a generous side of rice, and soup! (you have the option to pick soup or salad) I couldn’t even finish it all.
Masala Indian Cuisine has firmly established itself as the newest, great reason to live in Rexburg, Idaho! It has certainly become a hit with not only my wife and I, but our extended family too. Whether you have lived in Rexburg for many years or are just passing through, Masala in Rexburg is a must visit! I will certainly be a regular for many years to come.
Don’t just take my word for it, check them out on google at “Masala Indian Cuisine” as well as visit their website at: https://masalarexburg.com/
